Cryo Blau CO2 Fire Suppression System

Cryo Blau by SAFE Technology Ltd. is a complete, UL Listed and VdS-approved carbon dioxide (CO2) fire suppression system built with seamless steel high-pressure cylinders. Designed for total flooding and local application, Cryo Blau protects high-value assets in areas that are difficult to access, and scales from single-zone installations to large multi-zone systems using pneumatic directional valves.

Why Carbon Dioxide (CO2)?

• Colorless, odorless, electrically non-conductive, and non-corrosive
• No residue, no clean-up, and no decomposition products after discharge
• Suppresses fire by reducing oxygen concentration below 16%, effective on Class A, B and C fires
• Suitable for both deep-seated/smoldering fires and fast-spreading surface fires
• Stored simply as a compressed gas – low cost, widely available, allows full-scale system testing without concerns
• Zero ozone depletion potential; discharge temperature of approximately -78.8°C provides an additional cooling effect on the fire

• Agent containers from 14L to 100L, with master and slave cylinder/valve configurations
• Working pressure 167 bar, hydraulic test pressure 250 bar; UL Listed valves rated to 190 bar burst disc, VdS-approved valves to 250 bar
• Master discharge valve with solenoid actuator plus manual or manual/pneumatic release device; slave containers actuated pneumatically through pilot hoses
• Single-row and double-row manifolds for 140 bar systems connecting 2 to 20 cylinders
• Pneumatic directional valves and multi-zone control panels (2–10 zones) for protecting multiple hazard areas from a shared cylinder bank
• Pilot cylinders, pressure reducers, non-electric blocking devices, and pneumatic alarm devices for multi-zone configurations
• 180° and 360° brass discharge nozzles sized using VdS calculation software
• Dedicated NFPA 12 / ISO 6183 / VdS 2093 design software available for agent quantity, equipment, and installation calculations

System Components Included

A complete Cryo Blau installation includes agent containers with wall mounting rails and clamps, master and slave discharge valves, pneumatic/manual/manual-pneumatic release devices, pilot hoses and accessories (adapters, non-return valves, vent valves, bleed valves), discharge hoses, check valves, manifolds with mounting rails and connectors, pressure gauges, pressure and flow detector switches, tamper seals, and full UL/VdS-approved container and warning labeling.

Ideal Applications

Engine rooms, generator and pump rooms, paint booths, duct work, bulk record storage, electrical equipment rooms, and other unoccupied or restricted-access hazard areas where NFPA 12 permits CO2 total flooding or local application protection.

Available in 14L, 27L, 40L, 67L, 80L and 100L cylinder configurations, empty or factory-filled with CO2 at 0.67 kg/L or 0.75 kg/L filling ratios. Contact us for master/slave cylinder combinations, manifold sizing, and multi-zone control panel options.

Note: Per NFPA 12, CO2 fire suppression systems are intended for use in unoccupied spaces and must not be installed in occupied spaces unless no other suitable extinguishing agent can provide an equivalent level of protection.
